Having read Aldous Huxley's Brave New World a few years back I was definitely
interested in revisiting the story via this CD audio book. I certainly wasn't
disappointed, Michael York does a wonderful job narrating the story. He really
brings the characters to life.

Brave New World is the story of a future society
in which citizens are drugged into an ignorant and blissful state via a drug
called Soma. Free sex with multiple partners is mandated by the state and babies
are created in cloning facilities. The story centers on three characters who
eventually wake up and realize the emptiness and futility of their existence.

I
highly recommend giving this audiobook CD a listen. The story is both scary and
intriguing and the excellent narration truly adds to its impact.
